Children and adults alike especially love fishing from our two spacious docks. You can moor your motor or sail boat to our slip dock, use our free row boats ... or rent one of our small aluminum motor boats (guests only) and cruise the big lake. For the nature lover, our beautiful area offers scenic water falls, Delaware River canoeing, Promised Land State Park free from motor boats, with sandy beaches and miles of hiking trails. Nearby are golf courses, riding stables, antique shops, good restaurants, a bowling alley, movie theater, SteamTown USA, the anthracite mine tour, scenic drives, tennis courts, and more.
In the cool of the evening, relax on your cottage deck and marvel at the sun setting across the lake in the western sky.
Our guests delight in the beautiful views at Loch Highlands, at the natural country settings, the quietness and peaceful surroundings. Our housekeeping cottages are completely equipped. Each has a sun deck and porch with deck chairs, chaise and picnic table.
Delight in our two and three bedroom cottages with their fireplaces and firewood (except cottage #1), real native knotty pine finish, hardwood floors, electric heat, cable color TV, bathroom vanity and shower stall, comfortable beds, a sofa bed in the living room for that extra person ... all presented to you immaculately clean!
You can cook or make snacks with pleasure in your cottage kitchen which is completely equipped with dishes, glassware, pots and pans, silverware, cutlery, double basin sink, electric range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, toaster, and electric drip coffee maker. Dine inside or deckside where the environment is always pleasing.
You can't beat the primitive beauty and atmosphere of an open campfire in the evening. It's an unforgetable experience for young and old alike. This is especially true after boating, fishing or swimming at Loch Highlands ... or canoeing at Promised Land State Park ... or hiking on one of the park's 50 miles of trails.
Loch Highlands, a family oriented resort, is located on Lake Wallenpaupack's fourteen mile length (click here to see map), on PA Route 507 in northeastern Pennsylvania. We're only a few miles from interchanges #20, #26 and #30 off I-84. Look for Ansley Road and our two-story white home and office overlooking the lake.
Rentals are by the week, Saturday to Saturday. Season rates are in affect during July and August. Off-season rates apply for May, June and September. Reservations are suggested. Please remember - We are open May through September only.
